In Sacramento County Nocioni’s lawyer entered a no contest plea on his behalf. Nocioni received a standard first offense punishment. Two days of sheriff’s work project, 3 years of informal probation during which he cannot drive with any measurable amount of alcohol, pay fines and penalties of around $2,000, attend and complete a 3 month DUI school, obey all laws, not drive without a valid california driver’s license and insurance and submit to a chemical test if any officer believes he is driving with alcohol in his system. The DMV will also suspend his license for 4 months however he will become eligible for a restricted license after the first month of his suspension.
The NBA suspended Nocioni for 2 games as a result of the conviction.
