In every breath case in Sacramento you will want to visit the back room in Department 2 in order to view the maintenance and calibration logs on your case.
First, only attorney’s are permitted to enter this area so if you are representing yourself you will first have to request from the court that access be made to you.
If you are an attorney, pass through the entry towards judges chambers and the clerks office. Just as you pass through the logs are located on top of of the metal filing cabinets. They are titled to indicate the date and serial number you are looking for.
These logs contain, maintenance and calibration along with subject test logs and error readings as well as a legend to decipher the error codes. You are permitted to temporarily remove the pages and walk them into the room adjoining department 2 where you will find copy machines at 25 cents per page and it accepts dollars.
Make sure to look at the error codes. Not only at your test but at the tests before and after yours one month each direction. See if certain codes come up repeatedly as this might indicate some potential defect or problem with the machine.
Remember, these are only machines. If they are that reliably why then after 25 years (with the exception of apple) they still cant make a computer that doesn’t crash. Oh, and P.S. Apple doesn’t make breath testing equipment.
Now, make sure to return to the logs and put the pages back exactly the way you found them so that we may all use them.
