After posting my blog yesterday stating that the major news agencies omitted the name of Ashburn’s Lawyer responsible for entering his plea I was surprised to receive a phone call from an individual who identified himself as Joshua Kaizuka, an attorney for a large Southern California based law firm, Earl Carter and Associates based out of Riverside, CA.
This individual claimed that he was the attorney for the Senator, that the Senator had read my blog, that my blog was not accurate and that the Senator wanted me to remove my post. The individual told me that his name was reported in the Sacramento Bee. A further search on the Bee’s website did reveal a report naming Joshua Kaizuka as Ashburn’s attorney.
The individual also stated that the Senator felt my entry somehow contained a negative connotation towards him but did not offer any specifics.
A review of the Law offices of Earl Carter and associates website reveals that the site has a section called attorney profiles however, Joshua Kaizuka nor any other attorney was listed.
I invited the Senator to comment on this blog.
